Barrister Investigations & Filing Service, Inc. has a fully trained staff of filing clerks. Our filing clerks will pick up and drop off your files at the courthouses listed below. After filing is complete, we return the files to our office and prepare the files for service. We then return the filed stamped copies to your office. This service is performed at no additional charge to the client. This process saves your firm time and money.

Skip & Serve

Barrister Investigations & Filing Service, Inc. is a provider of a new cost effective service called Skip & Serve. When requesting Skip & Serve, Barrister can locate your debtor before a return date expires. For example, if we attempt a service and it is not served, our process server returns it to our office. We will then forward your document to our skip trace department to locate a new address. If we locate a new address, we will return it to a process server to attempt service at the newly found address. If the file is served at the newly found address, we will bill you for a served, not found & individual locate fee. If service is unsuccessful at the newly found address, we will only bill you for the original address that you provided. This service can save you and your clients thousands of dollars over time. There is no need to prepare, re-file and pay for an alias.
